The MCAA Communication Working Group aims to meet the real needs/expectations of members and also increase the visibility of the association to the rest of the research community and the general public.

The objective is to produce and provide innovative, high-quality, consistent communications, both online and in print. This will inform MCAA members and non-members about the progress of the association, and also about many other issues which may be considered relevant. The communication resources include newsletters, magazines, outreach activities, and multimedia.

There are many opportunities for you to become involved in the Working Group this year, here are just a few:

Write with us!

MCAA publishes newsletters, magazines, and a blog.  If you have an interesting topic or idea, you are very, very welcome to contribute. You may also help direct the editorial process or help with our social media accounts.

Help organise events!

Several local and international scale events have been (co-)organized by the communication workgroup. If you would like to work together on your own event, or need help with organization or promotion, get in touch!

2nd Conference of the Researcher Mental Health Observatory (ReMO 2023)
THEME: "Evidence-Based Interventions for Fostering Healthy Academic Workplaces"

The ReMO COST Action focuses on wellbeing and mental health within academia, a theme of strategic importance for the European Research Area and beyond. We would like to invite our fellow researchers and practitioners to critically think about reporting on Evidence-Based Interventions for Fostering Healthy Academic Workplaces. How can stakeholders in the research environment develop interventions tackling this challenge in a rapidly changing world? We therefore hope for an inspiring conference with presentations, workshops and keynotes that will not only showcase the newest findings about the cognitive, motivational, and emotional aspects of Researcher Mental Health and Well-being, but will also be a place to discuss the global challenges that shape the present and will define the future of our research workplaces.

The conference will be a hybrid conference within the context of the ReMO COST Action with free online participation and in-person attendance at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.
