Description:
Globally recognized as the mother of modern physics, Marie Curie, one of the best-known scientists of the 20th century, was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize and, to date, the only person to have received two of these awards in different scientific disciplines. On February 23, a play will cover the life of this researcher, a pioneer in the field of radioactivity. The activity, of an informative nature, will take place at the Palacio de Congresos de Córdoba and is part of the program of events of the Annual Conference of the Marie Curie Alumni Association 2023.
The play is written by Juan Francisco Falcón, a professor at IES San Benito (La Laguna, Tenerife), who will perform with students from his center and also a professor, Merari Alfonso, from the Colegio Salesiano de la Laguna. The company 'Circonciencia' will also participate in this project bringing along their circus and scientific dissemination expertise. The event, in which some scientific experiments will be intermingled, is focused on a youth audience between 8 and 11 years old, who must attend accompanied by someone of legal age.
