Medicina-Scientia-Cultura conference - 150th birthday celebration

A 3-day international conference devoted to the achievements, and inspired by the spirit, of Maria Skłodowska Curie.

We celebrate this year the 150th birthday of Maria Skłodowska-Curie with a Poland-wide series of events organized by the Polish Chemical Society and the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Muzeum in Warsaw.

The crowning event of this series is the Medicina-Scientia-Cultura conference in Warsaw, split into the following themes:

MEDICINA 6.11 - (Medical University of Warsaw) The medicinal aspects of Maria’s heritage
SCIENTIA 7.11  - (Warsaw University of Technology) The importance of science for the modern society
CULTURA 8.11 - (University of Warsaw) The socio-cultural aspects of women in science

Registration to the event is required, a small symbolic fee will be charged on a per-day basis.

This event will be followed by:

- the official Birthday Gala (9.11) with the participation of Maria's grandchildren (see separate event)

- Standing up for science EU workshop (10.11) by Voice of Young Science in collaboration with MCAA Polish Chapter (see separate event)
