MEDOW ITN Project Open Day and Energy Exhibition
Cardiff University will host a MEDOW Project Open Day and Energy Exhibition. This is our final large public outreach event and aims to give the general public the opportunity to find out about the project’s aims and achievements.
Multi-terminal DC Grid for Offshore Wind (MEDOW) is an FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network which is providing wide-ranging training-through-research to 17 skilled young researchers. The project aims to be develop knowledge and techniques in the field of direct current (DC) grids for the connection and transmission of offshore wind power. With energy insecurity and the effects of climate change becoming ever more present in our day-to-day lives, research and innovation is striving to give Europe a cleaner, more efficient power system.
The Open Day is open to all, and no registration is required. There will also be an exhibition of other energy and environment related doctoral level research
Come along and join us for coffee and cake and learn about how research is helping to keep the lights on!
