Is a PhD overqualified with respect to the needs of an extra-academic context?
Or maybe it is underqualified, not having experiences on the market?
How do people that experienced this problem (as an employee or by employer) see it? What useful insight can add someone who studies this topic?
With the theme of Overskilling, Find Your Doctor inaugurates the webinar cycle "Beyond the obvious", in which we propose to face themes of which we talk about a lot, that many live, but which we hardly occasion to discuss. The Find Your Doctor community, however, also allows us this: to meet those who experience thorny questions with those who study them.
On 1 March webinar (4:00 pm) some testimonials will take part, giving life to a round table that shows the different sides of this medal. The focus of this event will particularly fall on the overqualification of research doctors in the "soft" sciences.
The round table will be moderated by Eva Ratti, founder of Find Your Doctor. Together with her, Andrea Galimberti of the University of Milan-Bicocca, an expert in adult training, skills and professional transitions, will introduce the topic by offering us the theoretical context to try to discuss it in a non-trivial manner. The event is organized by Find Your Doctor in collaboration with the MCAA Italy Chapter and ADI.
