Job description:
The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Survey Officer to help us amplify, connect, and expand important existing work within our strong community. The MCAA conducts between 8 to 12 surveys annually to gain insight into the challenges encountered by researchers.
The Survey Officer will be responsible for all survey-related activities of the Association, including but not limited to the following:
- Design survey instruments, including questionnaire development, survey sampling, and data collection methods
- Analyse survey data using techniques and software tools to extract meaningful insights
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that effectively communicate survey findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Conduct 8 to 12 surveys/year on various topics impacting research and researchers
- Coordinate with the Board, Operational Team, internal and external topic experts and funding agencies from the design to the reporting phase
What we expect:
- A graduate qualification or higher in sociology, social sciences, statistics, or survey-related fields is required
- Previous experience in designing and conducting surveys
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret survey data effectively
- Familiarity with Survey Platforms such as Qualtrics and EU Survey
- Basic understanding and working experience in IT platforms (Monday, G Suite, Teams, Miro, Adobe, Drupal)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent teamwork abilities, particularly in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary context
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- The readiness to join an international virtual team
Will be considered as advantages:
- A master’s degree in a relevant field
- More than two years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in designing survey questionnaires, analysing data, and preparing reports for at least five surveys
- A person who is an MCAA Member
- A person residing in Belgium or EU Member States, otherwise willing to relocate to Belgium, if necessary
What we offer:
- MCAA service contract as a freelancer from June 2024 until the end of September 2024, renewable depending on the performance
- Compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, with a daily gross rate ranging from 140 euros to 160 euros
- The position is expected to be half-time, approximately 2 days/week, but the days can be increased depending on performance and need
