Creative Problem-Solving Workshop
In your workplace or day-to-day life, conflict is inevitable, and good creative problem-solving techniques are essential. By attending this interactive “Creative Problem-Solving Workshop”, organized by the Marie Curie Alumni Association North-America Chapter, you will gain the critical skills to transform the disputes into value-creation opportunities, so that you can move away from conflict toward collaboration.
You have a date on March 18 (13:00h EST / 10:00 h PST), when we will learn from the certified mediators and negotiators Dr. Cristina Florea and Jean-Pierre Peinado in a hands-on session moderated by Dr. Sergio Crespo-Garcia and Dr. Almudena Estalrrich Albo.
Register as soon as possible here: https://forms.office.com/r/UsrnZfeXTT (MCAA members only)
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Cristina Florea, is a former postdoctoral Marie Curie fellow in MIT. Currently, she is the coordinator of the Musculoskeletal Diseases Research Community at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and serves as Vice-Chair of the Marie Curie Alumni Association North America Chapter (since 2018). She received a Double PhD degree (2014) in Mechanical Engineering and Medical Physics (UEF) and a Biomedical Engineering degree (2008) from Politehnica University Timisora, Romania. Cristina is a certified mediator and negotiator from Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, the best Negotiation program in the world. One important thing learned throughout her experience living in various countries (Finland, US, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic) is that in order to build a communication “bridge” one must understand and respect the communication, negotiation and conflict styles of each culture. She believes that greater positive changes can happen by staying curious, open, and putting oneself in others’ shoes.
Jean Pierre holds a Production Engineer’s degree from Universidad Metropolitana in his native Venezuela, he completed a Masters in Industrial Project Management at Centro de Estudios en Técnicas Avanzadas in Asturias, and an Executive MBA from EOI’s TICAL Program in Madrid. He is very passionate about Negotiation and Mediation, and since 2010 has frequently engaged in training to complement his real-life expertise. So far, he has participated in three programs from Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation: The Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Seminar, the Advanced Negotiation Master Class and the Mediation and Conflict Management Seminar.Since 2018 he has fully immersed himself in Conflict Resolution ventures. He started a broad collaboration with an academic institution in Spain for the development of training programs, content, publications and lecturing in relation to Conflict and Ethics Management. He is also putting his thoughts to paper for a collaborative book, its main thesis revolving around the concepts of failure, acceptance, resilience and redemption in the context of professional and personal life.”
