Call for partnerships: FinTech CommEUnity - Horizon 2020

Dear MCAA community,

we (Zurich University of Applied Science and TALOS Management Consultants, Zurich) are aiming to onboard 20 European countries each represented by an academic as well as an industrial member to create a European FinTech community in the context of the Horizon 2020 pogramme. FinTech CommEUnity – New network for Fintech in the context of the European COST network (www.cost.eu)

COST (Cooperation in Science and Technology) is the longest running European research programme. It aims at supporting European academic and industrial networks.
We are proposing to set up a new network “Fintech” in the context of the European COST programme, www.cost.eu

Who we are
The ZHAW is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. Joerg Osterrieder holds a PhD in Financial Mathematics and is Member of the Management Committee for the COST Action "Mathematics for Industry”. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Boston Consulting Group.
TALOS is a Swiss consulting boutique headquartered in Zurich. While TALOS clearly focusses on the Financial Service industry the team has a strong academic background across a variety of departments.
Our vision
Members of both science and industry are actively multiplying knowledge and advancing a European network on the area of Fintech. We aim to onboard 20 European countries each represented by an academic as well as an industrial member. Symposiums, conferences and workshops are regularly held, free of charge for members and funded by the EU COST programme.
How to join
Please drop a short mail to joerg.osterrieder@zhaw.ch or roman.regenbogen@talos-consultants.ch with the following information:
- Name and type of institution (university/college/chair or Financial institution, Fintech company etc.)
- Country of your institution
- Your relationship and contribution to the Fintech area
- How you could actively contribute to the COST idea (Would you be willing to help in writing an application to COST for setting up this new network for Fintech?)
- Names and e-mail addresses of active participants
