EuroScience Open Forum 2018 Toulouse
Dear Marie Curie Alumni,
The Euroscience Open Forum 2018 takes place in Toulouse from 9th to 14th July 2018. ESOF was founded by Euroscience and celebrates European research, raises awareness of science policy issues and promotes engagement with the general public & policy makers. ESOF 2018 is constructed around the motto “Sharing science: towards new horizons”. Sharing science means bridging barriers between disciplines, communities and countries, making a link between generations, encouraging and welcoming citizen aspirations and initiatives, and being the anchor of a knowledge based society.
MCAA will lead two Science Policy sessions (Open Science and Refugee Education) and coorganise a Science Slam with Wissenschaft im Dialog, Barcelona Science Communication Workshop and Pint of Science Toulouse. We are still waiting for a decision on many Careers Session proposals and one Science to Business Session proposal.
MCAA encourages you to present a poster at the Euroscience Open Forum in Toulouse. The Call Deadline is 31st January. https://www.esof.eu/en/programme-calls/call-for-posters.html
Two MCAA members, Alejandra Consejo and Pavlo Bazilinskyy, will be awarded the European Young Researchers’ Award (EYRA) for PhD students at ESOF. The EYRA Call for postdocs is open until 30th January. Please apply at: https://www.euroscience.org/calls/call-open-eyra2018/
MCAA hopes to make a big splash at ESOF this year. We look forward to meeting you there.
Warm regards,
Brian Cahill
Chair of the MCAA Board
