The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) has opened the call for nominations for the 2026–2028 Board and Executive Committee (ExCom). This is your opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the future of our international community, advocating for researchers, and steering the Association's strategic direction.
As the legal and governing body of the MCAA, the Board is responsible for the Association's sustainability and impact. We are looking for dedicated members ready to commit their expertise to these vital roles.
A total of eleven (11) positions are open for election:

Key dates and deadlines
The Board election timeline is the following:

Application deadline: Sunday, 26 April 2026, 17:00 CEST

Announcement of the candidates and start of the election campaign: No earlier than Friday, 1 May, 17:00 CEST

Electronic voting period: Thursday, 28 May, 18:00 CEST–Saturday, 30 May, 18:00 CEST

General Assembly: Saturday, 30 May 2026, 17:30–19:30 CEST

Interested candidates are invited to an "Ask me anything" style webinar on Friday, 10 April 2026, at 15:00 CEST to learn more about the Board elections. Register for the webinar here.

Eligibility criteria
To apply, candidates must meet several criteria, including:

Being a registered MCAA member for at least 12 months prior to the election start date.

Having a personal profile on the MCAA website completed to at least 90%.

Demonstrating no conflicts of interest, no criminal record, and no involvement in any illegal or unethical activity.

To adhere to the values of the MCAA, the Articles of the Association, and the MCAA Code of Conduct.

To not be a member of the MCAA 2026 Election Task Force.

For the ExCom positions, candidates must demonstrate prior leadership experience within or outside MCAA.
Please consider that serving on the Board is a significant commitment and legal responsibility. Expected time commitments range from 3 hours per week for ordinary members to up to 10 hours per week for the Chair. The Board roles are non-remunerated.
