Cambridge Journey of Marie Curie Researchers / 玛丽·居里学者剑桥行
Are you searching for companions who resonate with you on your scientific journey?
Do you wish to engage in deep conversations about research and life with scholars from around the world, in the ancient and inspiring city of Cambridge?
Jointly organized by the MCAA China Chapter and the Cambridge University Chinese Students and Scholars Association, and co-organized by the MCAA UK Chapter and the MCAA AI group, the event “Marie Curie Researchers in Cambridge” is about to begin!
This event aims to foster communication and collaboration among Marie Curie researchers, promote international academic exchange, raise awareness of the EU Marie Curie and Horizon programs, and build a platform for in-depth dialogue between Marie Curie and Cambridge scholars.
On this land that has birthed countless sparks of thought—
Newton pondered gravity beneath the apple tree at Trinity College,
Darwin envisioned the mystery of evolution at Christ’s College,
and Hawking gazed into the cosmos from Trinity Hall, seeking the edge of the universe.
Here, Russell penned the sharp light of philosophy,
Keynes reshaped our understanding of economics,
and Turing, with the power of mathematics, opened the prelude to artificial intelligence.
Even Xu Zhimo once left his gentle verse by the River Cam:
"I am leaving quietly, just as I came quietly."
Now, new ideas and new explorations converge once again in Cambridge.
In this unique journey of academia and culture, thoughts will shine at the intersection of history and innovation, and both research and friendship will quietly take root by the River Cam, carrying forward the unceasing flame of Cambridge’s eight centuries of learning.
