Funding Projects that will create startups
It is quite important that the academic world fund projects that will support the growth of future startups. We as Marie Curie fellows have the best chance of doing it as the ITN fellowship provides us the platform of developing the skills required to connect the academic & business world (industries). I have started a company that connects the academic world & the health sector in India which is a major USP in the health sector. I have also raised funds & attained a valuation of 4 million USD for the idea, team & demand. We as team at Orcasho have found a way to connect the academic world to provide the buyers irrefutable proof in the health & nutrition sector. If I am selected as a board member I will promote a different training & recruitment strategy to encourage future ESRs (Early Stage Researchers) to create startups of value not just academic content. - Vikrant Mahesh ( founder & CEO at https://www.orcasho.com/ )
