MULTIdisciplinarity and INTERnationalization

On

The importance of career transition, road to independence, intentional development, as well as crossing multiple disciplines, living multicultural and diverse work environment, are themes that are getting more and more crucial in the scientific field and a reason for being directly and actively involved in MCAA.

My research has always been focused on the use of multiple and combined approaches to tackle the therapeutic need of neurological disorders. The global experiences through Italy, UK and US, together with my technical background have opened my mind on the interest to be part of the management and sponsorship of MCAA, approaching future challenge in an efficient and structured way. The international exposure that I had so far helped me in understanding the importance of the continuous communication and knowledge spread.

As a MSCA researcher in (life) science I would like to establish a collaborative and supportive network between researchers to pursue a successful career, and to promote inclusion, equity and diversity in life sciences, empowering people to fulfil their own career aspirations. Considering all the social changes in the last years, this will be possible through virtual networking and learning opportunities about building relationship, transparent career discussion, developing leadership’s skills, and training on career paths at universities and research institutions. MCAA community will be crucial in promoting the researchers’ connection and benefits associated, building a global mindset, having international assignments, and developing horizontal collaboration across disciplines.
