UK secondment visa

Hello everyone,

me and my colleague are doctoral candidates in a MSCA doctoral network. We are both German nationals working at the universities of Vienna and Amsterdam, respectively.

For our secondment we were selected to go to an associate partner in the UK. This partner is a medium-sized policy, research, opinion, and strategy consultancy, so it is NOT a public research institution. However, it is also their first time hosting anyone doing a secondment, so they are also unsure about the formalities.

Has someone had a similar situation and could help us figure out which visa we can use for this purpose? We are planning to go at some point next year for 3 months each.
