Science+ conference, Bilbao, 7-9 May 2015
Science + is a meeting which gathers togathers various actors interested in science and where different career options that exist in the field of science, especially in the European context will be discussed.
Speakers from different organisations are expected and discussion will be focused around following blocks:
- The scientific career in academia
- Career options in science
- Scientific associations
- The challenges of European science
- Networking and research programs in Spain and Europe
- Bridges between science and politics
- Popular science
Marie Curie Alumni Association is invited to give a presentation in the session about Scientific Associations on 8th May 2015.
Attendees can bring informative posters to show their work. The event will take place in the Castilian and in English, with simultaneous translation provided.
Science + is an initiative of Spanish Scientific societies in the Federal Republic of Germany ( CERFA ) and Spanish scientists in the UK ( CERU ), in collaboration with the department of scientific culture at the University of the Basque Country . The objectives of the meeting are:
- Show the various career options currently offered for different scientific careers.
- Disseminate the visibility and prestige of the researchers and their capabilities.
- Accompany and provide a service to research staff in mobility.
- Encourage networking contexts in research.
