Standardisation is far more than a technical or regulatory exercise — it is a dynamic, transdisciplinary process through which research and practice continuously inform one another. Alongside publications and patents, standardisation serves as a powerful yet often overlooked channel for knowledge and technology transfer, providing shared concepts, methods, and reference frameworks that strengthen the quality, reproducibility, and uptake of scientific work.

For researchers working across disciplines, sectors, and national borders, engagement in standardisation offers tangible opportunities: broader collaboration networks, greater visibility for research outputs, and a direct pathway to societal and industrial impact. When research shapes standards — and standards in turn inform research — a virtuous cycle emerges that accelerates innovation and reinforces the relevance of science beyond the academic community.

An event organised by the MCAA Communication Working Group in collaboration with MCAA France Chapter and MCAA BeNeLux Chapter. This networking event, open to all MCAA members, brings the MCAA and MSCA community together in Brussels for a Science Communication Special event.

Join us for a visit to Science is Wonderful! 2026, a flagship science outreach event, where over 150 MSCA and ERC researchers bring their work to life through hands-on exhibits, science shows, and interactive demonstrations.

While the SIW event is a 3 day event (18-20 March 2026), and it is completely free of cost. If you wish you can visit any day as per your convinience. However, if you wish to attend this networking event, we'll be there on March 20.

The idea is to meet all the wonderful members of our community to connect, catch up and celebrate science together.

Access to justice is a cornerstone of gender equality, democratic governance, and sustainable peace. Despite normative progress at global and national levels, women and girls continue to face systemic barriers to justice, including discriminatory laws and practices, weak enforcement, economic exclusion, technology-facilitated violence, and under-representation in justice and decision-making institutions.
The 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) focuses on “Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and addressing structural barriers.” This parallel event responds directly to the priority theme by grounding global commitments in regional realities, while fostering cross-organizational dialogue and accountability.

MCAA GEDI Working Group is joining the conversation in this event organised by the International Federation for Business and Professional Women with Magda Theodoridou, MCAA GEDI Task Force lead as Moderator and Jen Elmaco, MCAA GEDI Chair as one of the Panelists.
