From the vast energy and water demands of training large models such as GPT and DALL·E, to the carbon footprint of data centers, growing market concentration, rising barriers for academia, and widening digital divides, AI’s expansion raises urgent sustainability and equity concerns.

In this timely webinar, Francesca Larosa, and Rashid Dehkordi, offer economic and management perspectives on AI’s hidden costs. They will explore environmental impacts, global supply chains, market dynamics, opportunity costs in research funding, and the broader societal implications of AI over-reliance.

The MSCA Green Charter offers recommendations and tips on sustainable research practices. It has recently been updated, with valuable contributions from the MCAA community. The European Commission is now working on changing the way it encourages the uptake of the MSCA Green Charter principles in MSCA-funded projects. Join this session to learn more about the update of the Charter and contribute to the discussions on what comes next.

The "Intercultural Intelligence Conference" is dedicated to exploring how cultural awareness, communication, and collaboration can strengthen research, innovation, and global careers. This conference will bring together experts Kristina Berkut, Ghislaine Tamisier, and Gian Maria Greco to share insights, real-world experiences, and practical strategies for navigating multicultural environments and building inclusive, high-performing teams. The conference will be followed by a networking aperitif to foster connections among participants. The event is co-organised by the MCAA France and Switzerland Chapters and the Cité Universitaire de Paris, which will host the conference at the Maison de l'Ile-de-France.
