The 3rd European Energy Conference (E2C 2013) will take place from 27 to 30 October in Budapest, Hungary. The conference aims at clarifying the role of energy science and research in the move towards a new European energy system. It will be an opportunity to discuss fundamental science, energy efficiency, energy production, distribution and storage, and the economical and social aspects at stake.

The EU HORIZON 2020 Programme and Teaming for Excellence in the European Research Area

The conference ‘EU HORIZON 2020 Programme and Teaming for Excellence in the European Research Area’ will take place from 17 to 18 October in Prague, Czech Republic. The event will address the steps needed to develop high-quality research in Europe. This will be an opportunity to discuss the principles of teaming for excellence, how to team for excellence in H2020 projects, and how this will lead to both cohesion and quality research across Europe.

6th Balkan Energy Finance Forum

The 6th Balkan Energy Finance Forum (BEFF) will take place from 16 to 17 October in Zagreb, Croatia. The forum comprises a conference and an exhibition. It aims to highlight the bankability of energy projects for private sector investors by addressing several topics, such as market trends and analysis, the potential of renewable and energy efficiency projects, the bankability of renewable energy projects, building and connecting the Balkan grid, electricity pricing and trading, diversification of power generation sources, and the future of natural gas.

SDN & OpenFlow World Congress 15-18 October 2013 / Frankfurt, Germany

The SDN & OpenFlow World Congress will take place from 15 to 18 October in Frankfurt, Germany. The congress will gather industry stakeholders to share expertise on Software-Defined Networking and OpenFlow. Discussions topics have not yet been finalised, but the last conference covered opportunities for carriers, emerging control plane technologies and high-performance cloud networking, among other topics.

Free online summer school: Global change and Resilient Landscapes (in Spanish)

Dear chapter members,

The Public University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) is organizing its 6th Summer School on Ecology, this time the topic being "Global Change and Resilient Landscapes". Due to the COVID-19, this time the summer school will be held online, and registration will be free. However, for those willing to learn on the filed, there is also a one-day a field trip scheduled.

MSCA 'Postdoc Appreciation Week' Picnic in Boston - September 25, 2020 at 5 pm

The MCAA North America Chapter is organizing an annual picnic (physically distanced) to celebrate the contributions and the role of our Marie Curie fellows to research, discovery and innovation. We are inviting all Marie Curie fellows to join us for a fun Friday afternoon! This is a great opportunity for you to connect with new Marie Curie fellows and share your experiences.  

Snacks will be provided, please bring your own blanket.

The picnic will take place on September 25th at 5 pm in the Sennot Park, Cambridge (Broadway Street).
