Interested in joining forces with us?
The MCAA has strong expertise in science policy, research assessment and career development, mental health in academia, science communication, and the European research and innovation landscape in general. This makes the Association an excellent partner for a wide range of projects, including Coordination and Support Actions (CSA). The MCAA has participated as a beneficiary in several calls under various European programmes.

Sustainable Careers for Researcher Empowerment (SECURE)
The Sustainable Careers for Researcher Empowerment (SECURE) project coordinated and supported the creation, trial, implementation, and mainstreaming of a common Research Career Framework (RCF) to support organisations in the recruitment, employment, training, development, progression, and mobility of researchers to improve research careers and reduce career precarity. The RCF project recognised the research profession across sectors, provided a career development and progression structure for research careers, acknowledged both research and transferable skills and competencies, facilitated intersectoral collaboration and mobility, and offered solutions to the precariousness of research careers in academia. SECURE tested aspects of the RCF and Tenure Track-Like (TTL) models in trials in four Research Performing Organisations (RPOs), one Research Funding Organisation (RFO), and one recruitment agency.
