We are opening the call for elections for the next Chair of the Croatia Chapter. This is a unique opportunity for any eligible member passionate about our mission and willing to dedicate their time and enthusiasm to lead our Chapter.

Eligible candidates should:
- be regularly residing in the country or region of the Chapter
- be a member of the Chapter for at least six months prior to the date of publication of the election call.
The mandate is for two years, starting on 1st September 2024 and finishing on 31st August 2026.
The schedule for the elections is:
- Opening of the call for candidates: 25 July 2024
- Deadline for submitting candidacies: 5 August 2024
- Notification for the eligible candidates: 6 August 2024
- The voting period is open: 7 to 10 August 2024
- Communication of the results: 15 August 2024
- Transition period: 16 to 31 August 2024
- MCAA Chairs training: 21-22 September 2024
This position requires a real contribution of time and effort to organise and lead the Chapter activities. Responsibilities include:
Prepare a plan of activities
- Appoint a Chapter board, including the vice-chair and other positions, as per Regulations of Chapters.
- Keep the Chapter’s board and members engaged and updated on MCAA issues
- Organise events and communicate with the local members
- Manage the Chapter budget
- Communicate regularly with the MCAA Board and Management WG, and comply with their requests
- Submit activity reports and attend periodical meetings
- Represent the Chapter in its geographical area
- Organise at least two meetings per year
In accordance with the MCAA statutes, the Chapter Chair is an ex-officio (i.e., non-voting) member of the MCAA Board. They will be invited to join the MCAA Board meeting held during the MCAA Annual Conference and General Assembly each year.
