Dear MCAA Members,
I am Arturo Castro Nava, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Chair of the MCAA Germany Chapter.
A lifelong volunteer, I have thrived on fostering connections. From guiding archaeological tours to coordinating astronomy events, I have led initiatives that build bridges and ignite curiosity. This passion extends to language exchange, where I organized weekly meetings for international students to practice Spanish, and to mentorship programs across Europe.
My MCAA involvement began in 2021 with active participation in the Science Diplomacy and Communication Working Groups. This experience provided a strong foundation for my role on the Germany Chapter board which I joined in 2022. There, I have broadened my event organization skills and helped build initiatives to reach new members, gaining valuable skill experience that will benefit the Chapter.
My vision for the MCAA Germany Chapter focuses on three key pillars:
1) Strengthening our Network: Regular networking events will connect members, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
2) Growing our Community: We will actively reach out to existing and potential members, expanding our MCAA family.
3) Amplifying our Voice: By collaborating with other chapters and external associations, we will increase regional visibility and highlight the impact of our work.
I am committed to developing a comprehensive plan that reflects our specific needs and interests. Together, let's build a dynamic and impactful MCAA Germany Chapter!
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Arturo
- Federico Fabrizi
As Martin Luther King said in one of his famous speeches, "Let's build bridges, not walls." This is exactly the motivation behind my desire to become chapter chair. I strongly believe that the German MCCA chapter is an exceptional place where we can collaborate to spread the beauty of science throughout the country and the world. Developing new strategies to foster collaboration among members, improving their working and living conditions, and supporting their career development will be one of my vision's main goals. Looking forward to collaborating with everyone.
