Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard Stiftung
Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1995. Her foundation supports talented young women with children. It aims to enable graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the fields of experimental natural sciences and medicine to further their scientific careers. The Foundation wishes to help prevent science from losing excellent talent.
Who is eligible?
The grants of the Foundation are aimed at excellent women scientists in the field of experimental natural sciences. The CNV-Foundation sponsors graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of all nationalities, conducting graduate research at a German university or research institute, as well as postdoctoral fellows that have obtained their doctoral degree at a German university and continue their research abroad.
The Foundation is particularly keen to support postdoctoral fellows who will change their area of research after their doctoral studies. Funding to continue your doctoral research project will require particularly compelling reasons.
The graduate's PhD thesis should have a remaining duration of at least one year.
