Hello there, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I would like to know if there is the possibility to get small grants for exchange visit during my PhD. Also, if so, are USA eligible as well? Thanks in advance for your answers

Dear Walter,

at the moment MCAA ending its previous  contract and in action to apply for new. currently we don't have any such fund to support the mention  activity. MCAA funds are generally sponsor to promote MCAA activities mention in Agenda. MCAA alumni with any nationality is eligible for the MCAA grants.

looking forward to your active participation in MCAA.

Thanks

Amit is absolutely correct about the current situation (no money left in the coffers), but as soon as the new EC contract for the MCAA is in place (optimistically by June, but perhaps as late as September / October) new funding should be available for micro-grants. The MCAA board will then decide how this will be 'distributed', and the rules to be applied, but it will probably be via some kind of 'call' arrangement as before, so you need to keep an eye on the Micro-grants page at https://www.mariecuriealumni.eu/micro-grants (especially if the board decide on a 'first-come-first-served' basis as has been the case in some of the past calls).

Please note that micro-grants cannot be retro-active, so this 'future' funding cannot be used to cover any activity undertaken before the call is published and specific grants awarded.

Best regards,

Simon
