You are invited to give your input!
Hello all,
I have been asked to participate in an online survey regarding Strategic Framework on European Cooperation in Education and Training (ET2020). The survey is organized by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Training (DG EAC). The MCAA Working Group on Policy for Better Researchers and the Board are already included in the consultation regarding the survey.
We are not expected to answer all questions, but there is a question which I found the most important for our organization to contribute, related to future priorities and Strategic Objectives. Therefore I found suitable to invite all members to provide an input – regardless whether you are or not member of the relevant working group.
We need to list three new objectives that should be among the main priorities for the next phase of ET2020.
The current Strategic Objectives of the ET2020 are the following:
-
Making lifelong learning and mobility a reality
-
Improving the quality and efficiency of education and training
-
Promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship
-
Enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training
I planned to add following objectives:
-
Improving cooperation and transfer of knowledge between Higher Education and industrial sectors
-
Enhancing internationalization of Higher Education
You are very welcome to provide your ideas or comment on these two provided!
Additionally, please let me know if anybody of you have taken any ET2020 activities before (since 2009).
If you are willing to help us, please provide your input as soon as possible and the latest by Friday 30th May!
Thanks in advance!
Snezana

Thanks Ilya a lot, your feedback will be certainly taken into account.
Due to short time, I am going to complete the survey in the very last moment. Every answer which comes until tomorrow 1st June by 3 pm can be still taken into account.
Unfortunately, the cooperation with bussines sector is not actively involved in many other scientific discilines, particularly not in social science, and besides, there are also variations between different countries. However, your input is very valuable and helps to reformulate the original idea.
Many thanks,
Snezana
well, I guess I am a bit late however,
promoting enterpreneurship in higher education is what I'd surely stress,
as to your points, in my opinion,
1) businesses do engage actively in Education and scientific results that are geenrated in Academia (at least as far as Biomedical research is going)
2) education abroad programms (Erasmus being the most known) in Europe are well developed,
