The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) is a steadily growing alumni community. Currently counting more than 24,000 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) funded researchers from across Europe and the world, our members represent more than 165 nationalities. We take pride in our diversity, coming together to learn, share, and grow.

Who can become an MCAA member?

Membership of the MCAA is open to any natural person who has benefitted from mobility funding under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), including the “People” programme of the 7th Framework Programme, its predecessors, and all subsequent successor programmes (such as those within Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe).

Why should I become a member?

By becoming an MCAA member, you will join a network of other MSCA alumni with shared experiences and interests. Membership is free.

How can I become a member?

If you are currently benefiting from or have benefited from the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) funding, please complete the form below and enter your personal and MSCA project data. To verify your eligibility, please include a copy of your MSCA Fellowship Certificate.

We screen all registrations with care, and any deemed unacceptable will be deleted. These include applicants who are not current or past beneficiaries of the MSCA, those who already have an MCAA account, and those who have not sent proof of their MSCA fellowship to activate their membership.

Important: Eligibility and verification

Membership of the MCAA is strictly reserved for past and current beneficiaries of the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and its predecessor programmes. To ensure your account is activated quickly, please follow these guidelines:

Fast-track verification: The most efficient way to confirm your eligibility is to upload a copy of your Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Certificate to the CV field. This allows for immediate approval.
Alternative documentation: We also accept other official documents that explicitly link you to an MSCA-funded project. Please note: Using alternative documents requires manual review, which will delay your account activation.
Avoid duplicates: Please do not submit a second membership application while awaiting approval. Duplicate entries significantly increase our manual workload and will further delay your verification process.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to log in or reset your password, it is likely because your account has not yet been screened and activated. We screen all registrations with care; any applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be deleted.

Legal & Membership Notice:
As a UKRI Guarantee Fellow, you are granted institutional access to the official MCAA platform, full participation rights within the MCAA UK Chapter, and access to designated career development services (such as Coursera training allocations or dedicated micro grants). Please note that this partnership constitutes a bespoke service arrangement; UKRI Guarantee Fellows do not hold official MCAA membership status. Consequently, you do not possess full membership rights, including the right to vote or stand as a candidate in any official MCAA elections, whether for Chapter Chairs, Working Groups, or the MCAA Board.
