MCAA members are stronger together! To share knowledge and enhance synergies, the MCAA has launched a series of webinars titled MCAA Around the World Webinar Series. Book your seat for the next one!

Encompassing a wide variety of topics, the webinars are hosted by a representative of a Chapter or Working Group and held every second Friday of the month. Don’t miss the second webinar in the series: Public Speaking for Scientists (Friday 14 January, 17:00 CET).

The webinar will be hosted by experts Alexia Youknovsky and James Bowers, who co-authored the book “Sell your Research – Public Speaking for Scientist”.

Alexia Youknovsky: Chemical engineer by training, Alexia is the founder and CEO of Agent Majeur, a science communication agency. Thirteen years ago, she identified the need to create a structure dedicated to research communication. Now, she leads a team of science communication professionals that are all PhD-level scientists or engineers. She helps researchers promote their work through strategic planning, event production, communication trainings, videos, graphic design and various other activities.

Alexia Youknovsky

James Bowers: James completed his Ph.D in molecular biology and physiology in 2014 from the French Natural History Museum, funded by a Marie-Curie bursary. He continued his studies with an MSc in science media production from Imperial College London, funded by the Wellcome Trust. He counts nearly 10 years of Science Communication experience from science writing to TV, documentary, web content and events, and has been trained in public speaking and science writing. He currently serves as Chief Editor at Polytechnique Insights, a science media for the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
