The MCAA launches a survey on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) has launched a survey to gather insights on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is shaping research and innovation across the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) community. MSCA fellows and alumni are invited to complete the survey by 31 January 2026.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly influencing how research is conducted across disciplines. From data analysis and literature reviews to writing assistance and decision-making, AI tools are already being adopted for a wide range of research and professional tasks. Yet questions remain about awareness, ethical considerations, training needs, and infrastructure support for the responsible use of AI in science.

The MCAA aims to capture these perspectives directly from the MSCA community via a specific survey on AI. It includes questions on:

  • Awareness and perceptions of AI in research
  • Adoption and use of AI tools and methods
  • Ethical and societal concerns related to AI
  • Skills, training, and infrastructure needs
  • Interest in a follow-up focus group discussion on AI

By participating, the MSCA fellows and alumni will contribute to an evidence base that can inform future training and policy initiatives under the MSCA.

The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and is open until 31 January 2026.

Respondents who express interest in participating in a focus group discussion on AI will enter a draw for complimentary tickets to the next MCAA Annual Conference in spring 2026.

The MCAA calls on its members, partners, and stakeholders to amplify this initiative by sharing the survey widely. The more voices captured, the stronger the collective case for shaping the responsible use of AI in research.
