We are pleased to announce that the MCAA Poland Chapter will host the annual MCAA & General Assembly Conference in March 2025, set against the stunning backdrop of Kraków—a city famous for its rich history, vibrant academic scene, and cultural heritage. As home to some of Poland's most prestigious universities and a hub for students and tourists, Kraków offers an inspiring environment for intellectual exchange and discovery.
The theme of the conference is “Research and innovation in a rapidly evolving world,” which reflects our dedication to nurturing a culture that recognises the dynamic nature of research and highlights questions about the visions for the future. The mission of the Poland Chapter is to advocate for sustainable practices within academic and research communities. At our recent annual chapter meeting in Krakow, themed "Harmony in research – navigating the path to worklife balance," we emphasised the critical importance of creating balance in the research environment and our dedication to advancing equal opportunities.
In addition to these efforts, the Poland Chapter continues to actively promote the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) grants and EU co-funded PhD opportunities, working in close collaboration with the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). This partnership aims to raise awareness of EU funding opportunities while supporting researchers in navigating their academic and career development.
The 2025 MCAA Conference in Kraków will serve as a key platform not only to highlight the funding opportunities but also to draw attention to the wealth of academic and research potential offered by Polish institutions. We are excited to welcome international researchers and encourage them to consider Poland as a successful hub for collaboration, innovation, and growth.
The conference will also feature various social and satellite events, providing opportunities for networking, exchanging ideas, and forging new collaborations with colleagues from around the world. We are confident that Kraków’s unique charm, combined with the stimulating conference programme, will make this a truly memorable experience.
