Why did you decide to run as Chair of the Working Group ?

I have always been passionate about fostering collaboration and providing mentorship, especially for young researchers. Having led national and international projects and served in various leadership roles, I believe I can bring a wealth of experience and a clear vision for the future. Running as Chair allows me to continue contributing to the Working Group's growth by facilitating meaningful connections and opportunities for our members. My previous experience as head of the Mathematics Department and my involvement in the Ethical Commission for Research give me the skills to lead effectively and ethically.

What will be the objectives of the Working Group under your tenure?

The main objectives under my tenure will be to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, professional development, and the creation of meaningful career opportunities for all members. I aim to strengthen ties between academia, industry, and policy, ensuring that members from various fields—whether it be the sciences, social sciences, engineering can benefit from the resources and networks we provide. Additionally, supporting career transitions and skill-building workshops will be key areas of focus.

What are your plans for the development of the Working Group ?

I would like to focus on building strong webinars that help members grow professionally—things like mentorship opportunities, career development workshops, and leadership training. I also want to create more ways for members to connect with each other, across different fields and regions. By strengthening the network of young researchers between universities and industry, and other organisations through such webinars, we can offer internships, joint projects, and networking opportunities that will benefit everyone.

Do you already have plans for events and activities? Can you tell us some?

Absolutely. I have plans to organise joint seminars with MSCA National Contact Point at the information days of MSCA projects which will point to all levels of career such as doctoral and postdoctoral level. Secondly, I am planning to organise webinars which will host well known entrepreneurs from industry and academia to share their experiences with us.
