This Career Fair is only for German or also people from other countries who are working in Germany now? From the introduction in the website, it says "It is the goal of the Federal Government to increase the German staff presence in international organizations. In order to give German applicants an up- to-date overview of the large number of vacancies at international organizations and EUinstitutions........."

Hi Rui,

The German Foreign Office runs the event for exactly the reasons you listed. Their announcement doesn't explicitly exclude foreign people and I don't see why foreign citizens cannot attend.

Many EU bodies only hire EU citizens. This is even the case for the European Patent Office. Research-based bodies seem to be more flexible: EMBL isn't limited to EU citizens for example.

Obviously the UN and International bodies are different.

Warm regards,

Brian

Hi Rui,

I registered for the event, am not a German citizen and was asked to pay the 8€ registration fee. I wasn't asked about my nationality at any stage.

Warm regards,

Brian
