The MCAA Around the World Webinar QuakeBridge: Science, Business, and Policy for Effective Earthquake Readiness of the BSB WG and Turkey Chapter
The main objective of this event is to bring together experts from academia, the industry and policymakers to foster in-depth discussions leading to the definition of precautionary measures. We want to create a cooperative structure that proactively addresses the potential destruction brought on by earthquakes by utilizing the pooled expertise and assets of these three different sectors.The event aims at initiating discussions on how policymakers can regulate the implementation of sustainable techniques in both short and long-term earthquake preparedness plans as well as the business perspective of adapting them.

First New Energy Forum of MCAA China Chapter will be held on January 6, 2024
The First New Energy Forum for Marie Curie Chinese Scholars will be held on 6 January 2024, with the aim of promoting communication and interaction between Marie Curie scholars in the field of new energy and promoting their collaboration among different Marie Curie scholars. The forum will be organised online and will aim to promote interaction and in-depth exchanges between Marie Curie scholars in the field of new energy, thus facilitating cooperation between different Marie Curie scholars. It will also expand the influence of Marie Curie scholars.

Webinar: Tips And Tricks For Risk Management
This online event, co-hosted by the EARMA Post Award Project Management Thematic Group and the MCAA Project Management Working Group, focuses on Risk Management in research grants. The one-hour session features two speakers: Irène Arrata from the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (Inserm), discussing Risk Management definitions and methodologies; and Leah Wren from Queen Mary University, sharing experiences in managing financial risks in high-risk countries. The event includes a welcome and introduction by Pauline Rasera from RMIT Europe, followed by each speaker's presentation, an interactive discussion and Q&A session, and concludes with a briefing on upcoming events. The seminar is designed for project managers and staff involved in research grants, providing insights into risk assessment and management throughout the research grant cycle.

MCAA Latam Conference 2023
The MCAA Andean-Caribbean Chapter, together with the rest of the MCAA Latam Chapters, is organizing this year's version of the MCAA LATAM CONFERENCE (3rd edition), taking place on October 27th and 28th, 2023 (preceded by a MCAA Latam Board meeting on October 26th afternoon), and hosted at Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar (MSCA NCP Coordinator) in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
This conference will serve as a venue for MSCA current and former fellows attached to Latin America region (residents and/or citizens) to get together for communicating and disseminating their research while discussing matters of regional interest. It will be a forum for networking and collaboration, as well as for promoting MSCA and EU funding opportunities in the region.
This year's conference theme is Scientific Cooperation in Latin America, and the event will include different sessions around Scientific Cooperation for Regional Development and SDGs, Science Diplomacy and Citizen Science, among others, as well as talks/workshops on MSCA opportunities, research proposals and grant writing tips and tricks.
Main conference language will be Spanish.
